Competition timeline

Terms & conditions

1. The competition is open to high school students (grades 9–12) and undergraduate pre-medical students worldwide.
2. Each participant may submit only one poster. Collaborative posters are accepted with a maximum of three co-authors; all must pay the $35 entry fee.
3. A non-refundable entry fee of $35.00 USD per registered participant is required to complete submission.
4. All submitted research must be original and the sole work of the listed authors. AI-generated research content, plagiarised work, or data fabrication results in immediate disqualification.
5. Posters must be submitted via the MedPath poster builder. The builder generates a standard A3 PDF; no external design files are accepted.
6. Research involving human subjects must include a statement indicating appropriate institutional or parental consent was obtained.
7. By submitting, participants grant MedPath a non-exclusive licence to display the poster at the Global Med Summit, on the MedPath website, and in future competition materials, with attribution.
8. Selection of posters for the Global Med Summit is based on judge scores and is separate from general ranking.
9. Finalists invited to the Global Med Summit are responsible for their own travel and accommodation unless otherwise communicated by MedPath.
10. Judging panels consist of at least two licensed physicians or biomedical researchers. Scores are averaged; in case of a tie, a deciding judge's score is used.
11. Participants may not submit work that has previously won an award in another competition. Prior submissions elsewhere must be disclosed.
12. MedPath staff and their immediate family are ineligible to participate.
13. Submitting your poster constitutes full acceptance of all rules, the MedPath terms of service, and the competition's Academic Integrity Policy.
14. Registration confirms the participant is aware the $35 entry fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.
